Earlier, I used to feel disgusted when I saw the tombs of saints and places like Shirdi Sai Baba’s shrine, which many consider to be hypocrisy. But after reading Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, all my hatred completely disappeared, and I became a happy and balanced person.
I urge everyone that every religious practice and idol of God should be designed in such a way that people feel good when they see them, not uncomfortable or unpleasant. If a Hindu lacks self-confidence, they should be encouraged to pour water on the Shiva Lingam. A Sikh should be engaged in reciting the Sukhmani Sahib, and a Muslim should follow the principles of their mosque.
When I closely observed life, I found that children studying in Arya Samaj institutions or any missionary schools or organizations exhibited similar tendencies. Arya Samaj and other missionary groups instill their thoughts into people’s minds and use their bodies for their own selfish purposes.
If ever your children develop thoughts like mine, ask them to remain silent for 30-40 days or encourage them to read the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. If one truly understands just one statement of Swami Vivekananda, they can comprehend a lot:
“I am blessed by those who remain silent and contemplate true knowledge. I am not doing anything new; I am merely reiterating the purest thoughts in history.”
When the entire world starts following the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, focusing on improving their own families and themselves instead of engaging in unnecessary debates, the world will automatically become a better place.
When Swami Vivekananda realized that some institutions were misusing his ideas, he must have felt the same way I did. At that point, he severed ties with every such institution and dedicated himself solely to spreading thoughts and knowledge that lead to ultimate truth and supreme peace.
