We should not donate to religious missionary organizations that help people only with the intention of converting them. Instead, we should support organizations like the Sri Ramakrishna Mission or the United Nations Organization, which strive to serve humanity and promote peace on Earth without any ulterior motives.

Do not relate the Sri Ramakrishna Mission to any religious missionary work. Its core purpose is to provide holistic development and knowledge to all of humanity.

The Sri Ramakrishna Mission should ideally be known as the Holistic Development Knowledge Mission, as it imparts the best teachings from all religions without attempting to change anyone’s faith. Unlike many missionary organizations that focus on conversion, the Ramakrishna Mission does not impose doctrines on people to fulfill its own goals. Instead, it provides true spiritual guidance and supports self-development.

Donating to religious missionary organizations that prioritize spreading their own beliefs over genuine service is harmful to society. Such organizations disrupt social harmony by working for religious expansion rather than selfless humanitarian aid. They often believe that changing a person’s external appearance, such as their dress or customs, leads to transformation. However, true change only happens when individuals take responsibility for their own lives and spiritual growth.

I have read most of Swami Vivekananda’s works and the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. Before reading them, I held strong negative feelings about certain beliefs. However, their wisdom completely transformed me from a person filled with hate into someone who seeks understanding and wisdom. Throughout my spiritual journey, I have encountered many so-called gurus who are more interested in indoctrinating people to fulfill their personal ambitions rather than genuinely helping them.

After immersing myself in Swami Vivekananda’s writings and Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa’s teachings, my hatred towards any religion, nation, or belief system has disappeared. Their teachings emphasize true Dharma, which transcends religious boundaries.

As Swami Vivekananda rightly said:
“Hold on to Dharma, let go of religions.”

This means we should embrace righteousness, universal values, and truth while letting go of divisive religious identities that separate humanity. True spirituality lies in seeking wisdom, compassion, and selfless service, not in forcing beliefs upon others.
