I read Bhagat Singh’s letter to his brother in Bhagat Singh in Jail Diary, where he advised starting a service business that requires skills rather than a large investment. Inspired by this, I took a job at a service center for Dell, HP, and Lenovo vendors. During my interview, I clearly stated that I wanted to start my own business and requested to be trained as a business owner. I also promised my mentor, Vikas Goel, the owner of Apex Computer, that I would never cheat him or harm his business. In return, he taught me all the essential skills needed to become an IT service provider.
With these skills, I secured jobs in various companies, including Mahindra Swara. However, after six months, they unexpectedly terminated my job and handed me a ₹20,000 cheque. Instead of seeing this as a setback, I treated it as an opportunity—I invested in the necessary tools and printed my first visiting card under the name The Shiva Infotech.
Later, I realized that if I used my own PAN-linked name as my business name, I wouldn’t need to open a current account. Additionally, I found that The Shiva Infotech was difficult to pronounce, so I changed the name to Som Tech Plus. However, this turned out to be a mistake because my vendor registrations were under The Shiva Infotech, which led to unnecessary complications.
Eventually, I understood that opening another unit with a different name would be a better approach. After years in business, I learned that dealing with businesses is much easier than dealing with individuals. Businesses have a clear mindset and understand their needs, while individuals often lack clarity and fail to recognize the value of skills, time, and quality service.
Over time, I realized the importance of branding and chose a strong, meaningful name for my company—Luhach Solutions Private Limited. Now, we exclusively serve businesses, providing all essential services required in corporate offices and professional environments such as law firms, CA firms, and other businesses. However, we only work with clients who have a genuine business mindset—those who value timely payments and quality service.
In the beginning, I made another mistake by focusing on printing bills and books. Later, I discovered Zoho Books, an excellent billing software that works seamlessly on both mobile and computer. It provides 1,000 free bills every year, making it a perfect tool for small businesses. Using it has saved me a lot of time and effort while also contributing to environmental conservation by reducing paper usage.
I have no fear of the government because I believe in running an honest business. If we don’t cheat the government and file genuine ITRs, the government, in return, will reduce taxes and simplify business regulations.
