I do not feel jealous of the happiness of those I love because, for me, their happiness is more important than my own. A true devotee should also not feel jealousy, as it was due to jealousy of God’s glory that we fell from His place to this earth. The quality of not being envious of a loved one’s happiness is something I have learned from a special person whom I always remember.Swami Vivekananda once said that meditation is like pouring oil from one lamp to another—whatever we constantly think about or meditate upon, its qualities and thoughts naturally start reflecting in us. This is evident in my own life. I have observed that I embody the qualities of those whom I deeply admire and often contemplate. My personality is quite straightforward, and I believe that the ones I think about the most also have a straightforward (straightforward) nature. I am quite mischievous with a limited circle of people. I often find joy in laughing alone for no reason, just like the ones I think about the most and admire, as they also possess this quality.I feel deeply connected to the vision, goals, and nature of my favorite personalities, whether they are public or private. Some of them include Bhagat Singh, Swami Vivekananda, Osho, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Radha Swami Gurus, Guru Nanak Dev, Guru Gobind Singh, Gautam Buddha, Dhirubhai Ambani, the Tata Group founders, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Ma, Elon Musk, and many others. Our perspectives are quite similar, but I also believe in continuously learning from past wisdom and applying it in my own way. This is why many spiritual masters emphasize that if you want to understand yourself, observe whom you remember the most—because their thoughts will naturally influence your mind. If you wish to understand the thoughts of others, then practice meditation, devotion, or any form of deep concentration. With unwavering focus, you will develop the ability to perceive what others think.
