Why should we respect, respond to, or at least honestly reject those who think we are lovable or show interest in us?I was once on my deathbed, in a very critical condition. God appeared and asked what I wanted. I replied, “First, punish me for all my sins from this life and my past lives.”In response, God sent my wife into my life. Now, she tortures me every day. She is the only and first woman in my life (except for my mother, sister, and other family relationships). Whenever she fights with me, I simply smile and remember that I once had the chance to welcome many beautiful and kind-hearted girls into my life, but I never gave them a chance. And now, I feel as if their unacknowledged love has turned into a curse. It feels like those who truly loved me but never received a response have unknowingly cursed me.
The Importance of Respecting Emotions
We must learn to respect and respond properly to those who consider us lovable. If we cannot accept their love, we should at least be honest while rejecting them. When someone truly loves us, and we respectfully acknowledge their feelings—even if we cannot reciprocate—they will leave us with their blessings, wishing for our happiness. However, if we ignore them, disrespect their emotions, or treat them as insignificant, their love may turn into resentment. They may unintentionally curse us with thoughts like, “You didn’t respect my emotions, so no one will respect yours.
“If you respect those who find you lovable, they will also respect your family. However, if you chase after those you love, you may be drawn to them, but they might speak ill of your family because of your behavior. So, just respect those who think you are lovable.”
Gratitude in Relationships
As an elder brother, I never dictate to my younger siblings, but my wife is like the female version of Hitler! Every night, at exactly 9:30 PM, she hides my phone to stop me from writing. But despite everything, I respect her.I believe that everything we receive in life—relationships, friendships, money, power, and opportunities—is a gift from existence or God. If we don’t utilize them wisely, express gratitude, or respect them, then just as we discard gifts we don’t appreciate, God may also stop giving us good things in life. Therefore, whether it’s love, respect, or an opportunity, always acknowledge it with honesty and gratitude. Otherwise, life has its own way of teaching us the value of what we once ignored
